Tracy at Blue Fizz Events joined forces with 66 other women to champion the cause of Women v Cancer this September. Cancer is sadly prevalent in all our lives and not one of us is untouched by it – whether through direct personal trauma or knowing either a family member or friend who has been struck by this horrible illness.

The group’s challenge was to cycle 350km of the Bahia area of Brazil – climbing over 20,000ft during the 5 days and in doing , so they completed their task. Collectively the group has successfully raised over £220,000 for Women v Cancer.

Tracy wanted to take this opportunity of thanking some of the brilliant and supportive businesses who helped sponsor her events, thus allowing her to raise funds to these incredible charities. Her events, including The Barefoot Ball, The Indian Summer Festival & Feast and the Secret Masquerade Ball , were all supported by some of THE most fabulous businesses throughout the South West – huge heartfelt thanks to –

All for a good cause …

”Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. Our vision is to see a future where cervical cancer is a thing of the past. Our mission:  To see cervical cancer prevented and reduce the impact for everyone affected by cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer through providing the highest quality information and support, and campaigning for excellence in cervical cancer treatment and prevention”.

”We’re Ovarian Cancer Action. A charity dedicated to beating the UK’s most deadly gynaecological disease. Ovarian cancer is a serial killer. It claims the life of another woman every two hours. We’re a small team but we pack a big punch. We find and fund the innovators who will help us break this cancer. From the scientists working on the latest breakthroughs in the lab, to the people raising the vital funds we need to make our vision a reality”.

”Breast Cancer Care was founded by Betty Westgate on Christmas Eve, 1973, five years after her own diagnosis of breast cancer in 1968.  We provide information on living with and beyond breast cancer, offer emotional and practical support through our services and Helpline, bring people affected by breast cancer together through our services and Forum, campaign for improvement in standards of support and care, promote the importance of early detection”.
