Signer songwriter Douglas E.Powell will be performing an acoustic guitar set with accompaniment from my fiddle player Jason Pratt, especially for the Indian Summer Festival & Feast. From his home recording studio in North Devon he writes records and produces his own music making Douglas is a key figure on the South West UK music scene. His intensely-charged live performances lie at the heart of his passion for live music, deeply personal lyrics are laid over beautifully simplistic acoustic guitar work. Douglas also performs alongside his talented band The Rising Spirit. Douglas enjoys a world wide following and we proud and priveleged to have him join our event.
Singer songwriter Jim Jones of famed Small Town Jones will be performing a solo acoustic set. Having provoked numerous great reviews including a four-star review in Q magazine a 5 star review in Maverick, Jim is making some noticeable waves. He is becoming more widely known after the title track of his last album “Freight ships was picked up and was played on the BBC Radio 2’s Dermot O Leary show which later led to a live Saturday Session with his long time compadre and guitarist Dave Little and has recently led to him returning to the show.
Rising young talent Georgia Palmer takes the stage to perform her own solo acoustic set. Georgia performs locally in North Devon as well as at UK Festivals – here is taste of Georgia’s inspired work :
Music is the language of the gods. The musician; the translator.
Songs from the heart.
DJ Louie Louie is currently a resident in the legendary Shangri-La area at Glastonbury, and has played at many other summer festivals, (inc Port Elliot, Beautiful days, Farmfest) He also hosts the popular Exeter vintage club night Blow Your Wig! (A Guardian guide pick of the week)
