Be inspired by these wonderful images from our Festival, Boho, Beach styled wedding shoot on location in glorious Cornwall

At Blue Fizz Events we love creating bespoke events for our clients from marquee hire, planning, organization to the final touches and styling. We wanted to put together a very on-trend palette and style that could be laid back, yet had a luxurious feel.Working with a Rustic Geometric Luxe wedding theme we put together a great group of suppliers for this shoot – and as a team, created something very special on the day.

You can feel the love in the soil on Trerethem Farm, and the estuary views and panoramic rolling fields from this family-run working farm are breathtaking. With an event field with ample parking, level grounds fit for tipi or marquees on a large scale, and a kitchen garden that supplies the top restaurants in Cornwall, it’s the perfect setting for any wedding.

Wild Tipi provided us with one of their fabulous structures, complete with chesterfield sofas and 70s lampshades for the break out room – all part of their hire items. Tipi weddings provide great spaces to feast and dance the night away, as well as visually giving your special day a strong identity.

The Buffalo Bar is an incredible Airstream that not only delivers the wow factor in looks but brings a dazzling array of bespoke cocktails and full bar to your event, which is also an experience your guests will love!

Our Blue Fizz Events traditional canvas and pole marquee nestled perfectly in the landscape with window walls to draw in the views and the perfect blank canvas to dress in any style. We often create the ceremony aisle in and out of the Marquee for our clients before then restaging for the feasting! The archway was created by using wooden uprights(from Stargazey Hire) and draped muslin to provide a canopy as a centrepiece. I wanted to use geometric coppers in the theme as these are big trend in interiors and weddings currently. Hard lines were softened with textures and foliage to avoid it being too harsh.

The aisle was dressed with selection of potted plants all available from Fusspots. Hiring in shrubs, trees and flowers is proving to be a popular choice and has a sustainable angle to dressing any event. The structure and form that is achieved from the strong use of foliage works so well against a minimal palette as in this case.

The addition of the stunning flowers came courtesy of Caroline at Fleurations Cornwall who produced several sprays of colourful blooms and a bouquet to give a contrast to the green and copper accents. The look was natural and bold with an eclectic array of stems, roses and greenery expertly combined to give the impact required. I had created several large copper hoops with abstract geometric centres (which are part of our own Blue Fizz Events Hire range), which Fleurations decorated with the flowers. We hung them in the marquee and as a backdrop to the ceremony – a really great way of decorating a large space with a clean and minimal effect.

I also used one of the large hoops as a table plan. The stunning stationary was created by the talented Amy at Alphabet Meadow, who develops original designs that are unique to her clients, bringing ideas to life with her exciting personal style. I asked Amy to use copper and geometrics alongside foliage with a modern twist – but didn’t want everything squared off. Amy produced individual angles on each card and innovative 3D standing name cards in copper and off white.

The cake was just dreamy, with tiny handmade macaroons in coppers and pinks succulents. Lara at Lady Vale Bakery developed a striking geometric metallic design on the tiers of the cake perfectly in line with our theme with meticulous attention to detail. I created the copper cake stand (utilising my love of upcycling!) which set the cake off perfectly, and fitted in with our geometric accents. The cake table was hired from Star Gazey Wedding Hire, who provide a wide selection of hire items that can be used to enhance your special day, alongside other accessories like the classic white bunting at the exterior of the marquee. I put together simple crockery wooden table centres with copper detailing and geometric candle holders all softened with candle light and masses of potted herbs.

The wooden furniture from Total Event Hire was placed in long trestle formation, perfect for shared feasting and an informal family style service. Craftworks‘ exceptional street food and pop up kitchen setup provided high-end street food using fresh ingredients from the farm and surrounding area, perfect for a relaxed social and memorable dining experience.

Our dashing groom Tom came with the addition of his very own magnificent beard! I teamed a formal classic grey waistcoat and suit trousers with a pink shirt, turquoise jacket and fluorescent pink braces; menswear trends can be very playful, mixing formal and modern elements for a smart yet quirky look. The menswear was selected from the extensive range at Samuel Dawes & Co in Barnstaple. They have a large formal hire selection and an amazing array of unique suits and accessories to buy that offer you the mix and match options that are so on-trend right now. Grooms and their groomsmen also get the best treatment in a purpose built room upstairs with sofas and fitting rooms where you can relax and have one-to-one consultation for your special day.

Our stunning model Sarah wore a bespoke dress handmade by me – Bridget at Blue Fizz Events! Alongside my role as stylist for Blue Fizz I also design and make Eco, Boho and Retro inspired wedding dresses for private clients. Using vintage and sustainable fabrics I wanted some metallic elements to the top of the dress, with a pale gold crepe adding a geometric angle at the low back with directional straps. The crepe full skirt was simple and fluid with deep thigh high splits that created drama and a lot of leg on show as our bride moved and walked.

Sarah’s make-up was created by Amy Pike, and her copper hues and romantic fusion was the perfect mix of elegance-with-an-edge on our stunning bride.

Laura at LJP hair and make-up put together an effortlessly beautiful relaxed chignon, finished with a copper foliage headband that I customised and placed at the back of the crown, intertwined with foliage.

I accessorized our bride with delicate handmade jewellery from Wanderlust Life who provided a selection of their delicate minimal geometric pieces in gold and rose gold that combined perfectly with the minimal lines of the dress.

Our team of suppliers brilliantly showcased not only their individual skills, but also the collaboration and teamwork involved in delivering the best for any of their clients. All of this was captured by Yeti Photography and Film, whose ability to capture the light angles and mood of the day was extraordinary. The scale of the landscape and the delicate details of the shoot were all seen through the addition of drone filming that captured the scale and majesty of the landscape surrounding our Marquee.

I hope these fabulous images give inspiration for any couple who dream of a perfect day set amongst  jaw-dropping views and a standout look and feel on their special day … simply perfect!
