The Shape of Love - a Geometrical inspired styled shoot

This shoot combines punchy pinks, architectural floristry and geometrics with World Inspired Tents’ stunning tipis. The tipis allow you to entertain your guests with stylish fire pits, making for versatile and dramatic settings. This is only enhanced by the wonderful grounds of Tawstock Court, a family run venue just outside Barnstaple that offers acres of grounds, woodlands, rolling hills and a fantastic selection of beautiful function rooms to cater for weddings and events of all sizes from the intimate to the larger scale indoors and out.

Our couple, Jake and Sadie, arrived in style in the cutest VW convertible from “Best day ever” who have a vast array of hire items to bring those magical touches to your wedding day .

The stunning floristry by Floren Studio in a way that accentuated the palette and strong shapes of the combined succulents and blooms. The oversized bouquets and large centrepieces were carried through in the styling of the seating plans, with their colour accents referenced through geometric decorations and structures scattered through the space. Roses cascaded through palms, pampas grasses and succulents to give the venue a fresh desert vibe. “Fuss pots” provided additional plants, huge palms , succulents and cacti that were placed across the tables and aisles inviting guests to relax in an immersive and calming garden of colour and style. Fuss pots can provide trees, greenery and extra greenery to add to any event which is also a popular choice when considering sustainable options. The table I accessorised with glass wear and cutlery from Keeping it Vintage, with pink glass wear to continue the palette throughout. I made long runners in a vibrant geometric linen and used my handmade napkins alongside geometric crockery along the trestle tables provided by World Inspired Tents who also have furniture and accessories that are available with the tipis if needed. The additional candles and decorations on the table are all available from our own styling range at Blue Fizz Events where we can create your dream vision alongside event management and planning. I created a large frame that I painted for the table plan as I felt the space in the tipis were a great excuse to make something substantial.

The stationery by Emma Louise Castle was again angular and pulled together the dark greens of the cacti with touches of gold all suspended on wire under the canopy of the floral arrangements. The cake from “Crafted by a Ginger” – created a single tier cake with geometric designs which I decorated with flowers and gold metallic pieces.

Our stunning bride wore a high Becker trumpet style dress with lace overlay and a cut away detail on the front by The Wedding Collection. Sadie’s shimmering and subtle makeup was done by Racheal at Isabelle Grace Make Up Artistry who can create a look that suits her individual brides with expertise. The relaxed half up do hairstyle was a mix of contemporary and traditional by Carly Vera K Wedding Hair.

The finishing touches were with beautiful jewellery from Alexandra Aurum and our groom wore a relaxed open neck shirt and bold pink trousers that I sourced to keep our shoot simple fresh and unfussy .

The Bar was built and stocked by The Crafty Beer Shop which was a real show piece in the tipi , with an amazing selection of beverages available . I hung huge painted triangles from the tipis ascending heights with large flower displays that completed the look . Our photographer on the day was Lucy Wallace Photography who captured the fun and cool feel to our day with drama from the stunning venue and intimate romantic moments throughout.
